01Our history

From steel traders and builders to an Afghan steel mill

The story of Maihan Steel goes back thirty-five years, when the founding owners were involved in steel-related products and services: production, installation, fabrication and steel assembly.

Building on that experience, Maihan Steel was formally founded in 2018 and licensed with the Ministry of Trade and Industry. The company was officially inaugurated on 28 March 2019 by the then President of Afghanistan, Dr. Mohammad Ashraf Ghani.

Today Maihan Steel serves Afghanistan with its hard-working team and competitive products, and has become one of the leading companies in producing quality steel grades and steel profiles nationwide.
